2016
The Turning Point
After years in the streets and battling addiction to drugs and alcohol, I hit my breaking point. That same year, I had knee surgery and spent months in physical therapy. While healing, I began reading daily, meditating, praying, and walking miles every day to clear my mind and fight the urge to go back to my old habits. I was also searching for jobs, but no one would hire me. That's when I made a decision — if nobody would give me a chance, I'd create my own path.
2017
Rebuilding
Got my driver's license back and started studying for my CDL. It was the first step toward rebuilding my life and providing for my family.
2018
A Voice Through Writing
I self-published my first book, Boy 2 Man: A Waha Story, sharing my truth, pain, and growth to inspire others to change their lives.
2019
Stability & Discipline
Earned my CDL and started driving trucks across the country. Trucking gave me stability, structure, and a chance to take care of my family while continuing to dream bigger.
2021
New Beginnings
While still driving, I began studying for my real estate license — determined to expand my skills and build wealth the right way. That same year, I bought my first home, a major milestone that marked how far I had come from my past.
2022
Preparing for the Next Chapter
Focused on growing my knowledge and vision while balancing family, faith, and the foundation for the legacy I was building.
2023
Building the Legacy
Came home off the road and started Welcome Legacy Maintenance with my family, teaching my kids business skills, discipline, and pride in ownership. That same year, I bought land and started a mini farm, raising animals and growing food to teach my children the value of hard work, responsibility, and sustainability. I also launched Welcome Legacy Publishing, continuing my writing journey.
2024
Leveling Up
Earned my Broker License and published two more children's books in The Welcome Family Wealth Adventure Series, focused on teaching financial literacy and legacy-building to the next generation.
2025
Growth & Expansion
Still growing the family business, mentoring others, and proving that transformation is possible. From the streets to entrepreneurship — the mission remains the same: faith, family, and building a legacy that lasts.
